A Wonderful Day to be in CA.
With the birth of a new Grandson, my life continues to be sweet and delightful. Andrew James was born on Oct 30, 2007 at 7:27pm in Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach , CA. He weighed in at 8 lbs 12oz, 20 inches long and we are proud to say the least.
My life has taken me around the world and I am now in CA. visiting from Shanghai, China. My jetlag has been worse this time around and I guess with age that is to be expected. I'm starting to feel a little more alive this week though, just in time to help when the new baby comes home.
I experienced a teaching moment yesterday with my five year old Grandson Jakob. I taught him about the beginning of the wheel by having him circle all of the wheels and round objects in the Toys R Us catalogue. I then discussed about the importance that wheels are in our lives and how they didn't used to have them. The invention of the wheel was one of life's greatest ideas. He understood how important it is to have wheels that roll to carry heavy things. He even learned how to roll a quarter. We had a fun time together!
This is my first entry and I'm excited to learn another way to communicate.....hope you enjoy the entries.
